 I am re-wiring an old house. It is a small 2 bedroom, 1 bath house. We put in a 200 amp service and need to run a service entrance cable about 20 -25 ft to the inside breaker panel.  Having new 100amp meter installed professionally,but I am burying wire to the building which is 125' from where meter is mounted. Will I have to upsize the size of wire because of the distance? I also intend to enclose in conduit, so I'm not worried about using "U" coded wire 
Using Aluminum Cable for 100 Sub Panel

 I'm going to be installing a 100A sub panel in my garage and need about 125 feet of cable. The price of aluminum is about 1/3 of copper so I'm just wondering what needs to be done differently when installing aluminum vs copper? Is it worth the hassel and/or risk? Thanks in adance! Pete
