Gushing water from hot tap at sink.
Water started gushing continuously from the hot tap on kitchen sink. The tap had not been used for hours. This happened about 5 am. The tap appears to open and close, but the water flow is not affected other than perhaps seeming a bit more powerful when tap tightened! We have turned the water off using stop cock and would appreciate any diagnosis help while awaiting a plumber.

'Since you've failed to inform us as to what type of faucet you have I can only assume that you have a two handled faucet with a bad washer or a nicked seat on the hot side. Cheers, Tom
