HELP! 30 hours ago my cat seemed to be in full blown labor. Panting, vaginal discharge, restless, nesting, cleaning herself, affectionate & talking a lot. Now it has stopped! The only symptoms still showing are the affection, talking, cleaning and restlessness. One of my other cats got in het nesting box while she was out of it. Could that be the reason? About 20 hours I took out the old towels and put new ones in and made sure no other cats are near the nest. What happened?? She seems fine now she eating, drinking and playing. I know for sure she was pregnant, she had an ultrasound done and I saw 5 or 6 kittens!
What do I do? I am getting concerned that it has been so long since the symptoms started and she still hasn't had the kittens. This is her first litter.

First of all, get off the computer and call a veterinarian. The call is free and he/she can tell you exactly what to expect and what you need to do in case of emergency. Are you sure of the due date? Did the ultrasound show calcified spines? Check with a vet!
