    Pre-construction condo date
I signed a contract for a pre-construction condo that they said would be ready in July 2008 and put down a 10% deposit. I visited the site several times and that date was repeatedly confirmed by their sales agents. A few months ago I got a call that the condo would be ready 1 year earlier in July 2007. My contract says no actual date just 6 months post permit. I am not financial ready to close at this time. Do I have any recourse?

    Hello lucy:

Of course, the devil is in the details. I don't know what your contract says. However, I'll bet you're locked in if the builder employs a lawyer - and he most likely does.

I can tell you all the things you did wrong, but you don't want to hear that.

F-1 to H-1, what's the start date of H-1? Should be approval date or visa issue day? [ 3 Answers ]
