    Connecting the right wires
    I'm updating my thermostat and the one that I had is a ritetemp 8010 but the new digital thermostatRTH3100C wiring is not matching up
    This is the old setup!
    W-white
    Y-yellow
    G-green
    O-orange
    C-blue
    RC-red
    W2-brown
    There is also a jump wire that was with the red one and it is RH
    My new wires are
    E
    Aux
    Y
    G
    O
    L
    R
    B
    C
    Which I connect all of the wires but the w2 wire is not connected what wire are suppose to go where this setup is confusing...
    Can you please help me connect the new one with the old setup or what must I do...

    This is a heatpump, correct?

    R----RED or RH AND RC NEED JUMPER BETWEEN THEM
    B---Orange
    AUX----Brown
    G----Green
    Y----Yellow
    C-(COMMON)---Blue



    This should do it, don't hook anything else up. This is assuming that you have auxiliary heat (electric heat strip)... and the reversing vale is to be powered in heat mode. If this doesn't work switch the Orange wire to the O- terminal. If this helps let me know.

    This is the old set up, I need to know how to connect to the new one.. and yes this is a heat pump themostat that I'm connecting to.
    The new one is RTH3100C and the set up doen't match can you help me match the old setup to the new one...
