    Is my lease void?
Ok here goes.. since I have not found the answer I have been looking for on ANY site. I am trying this route. I currently live with my brother and his family. They RENT a home from the home owner, and they had me sign a "shared lease agreement" with them. I am NOT on THEIR actual ease, but I do have a signed greement with them. My question is this. Many times during this "agreement", my brother and sis-in-law(who both signed this agreement with me) have either written me emails or left letters on my doors with things that they are changing in the living situation that contraicts what is stated in the lease agreement with me. Because they are doing this without my approval as well, does this make our "lease" null and void? PLEASE HELP!!

No, it only means you don't have to follow the "new" rules if they change the rules of the original lease, unless you agreed to them and signed them.
So your original sub lease with them is valid, but the many changes unless they were changes allowed in lease are what is void.

So it is basically the changes that you nicely tell them, I am sorry, this is not in the original lease, but you have the right to change these terms in the next lease.

Now if you are wanting out, if you explain to them, their changes are not valid, and you will be going back to the original lease terms, they may be willing to let you out of the lease ( if so get it in writing)

No - the changes don't make your LEASE ILLEGAL, the notices and changes may be unenforcable.

In most states, if you are a month to monty tenant, they would have to give you a minimum 30 day notice to change the terms of your tenancy and make their changes effective.
