I went to an Arts school and now I don't know what to do with my future
So I went to a high school for creative arts and design... I love theatre and music, not to give myself a big head but, I am not too bad at them either... but honestly I don't think I could make a perfromance carrer, happen its to instable and unrelaible. I love takling I amd out going and a great people person all through school teachers have to ld me to become a teacher myself... and honestly I would love too, I just odnt know what to teach!? Theatre and music... are the first things to be cut from school budgets. I can't teach math or science... I love history but I despise American history... which is my only choice if I want to teach in public schools!! Any advice?

There is a possibility of making a career in the dinner theater circuit around the country as an actress. I have a cousin who is about 26 and has been doing it for quite a few years. When he is not acting, usually a theater will hire him as a waiter. In some of the theaters he also is part of the pre-show act which also involves the employees.

Not all school systems are just willing to cut their fine arts departments if there are budget problems, especially if the programs are very strong with lots of parental support. So, if you do decide to go into teaching, I would apply to the school systems where the fine arts programs are strong. Even some small towns have incredible programs that are so well backed by parents that the administrators wouldn't dare to drop anything from them.

You have mentioned music, and I am curious about what you have done in music, if I might ask?
