Beautiful Post excon! Yes! They WANT to pick our lettuce. This, I don't have a problem with. Here is my concern:
Fact: Just over 4% of Colorado residents are illegal immigrants. Illegal immigrants account for 20% of Colorado prisons (for crimes other than their illegal status). In the same year as this stat (2004), not a single employer was fined for "unlawful activity."

This is going on in a state where prison growth is increasing 7% every year (national average is 4.3%).
We are sentencing 1000 more people every year to Colorado prisons than we have room for.
My concern is not the "immigrant" part. My concern is the "illegal" part. If we change our policy on illegal immigration where it is easier and more relaxed, we change the entire dynamic of the situation. Then maybe immigrants will cross the border (legally) knowing that America welcomes them instead of despises them.
Legal Immigrants are not taking up an unusually large portion of our prison system, because they are trying to succeed in America THE LEGAL WAY instead of the illegal way.

Not all Hispanics coming into the USA are brown.

The largest white populations in Latin America are found in:
    Country %local Population
    Argentina 95% - 97% up to 37,260,923
    Brazil 53.7% up to 101,000,000
    Chile 25% - 30% up to 4,800,000
    Colombia 20% up to 8,418,100
Costa Rica 80% up to 3,651,435
    Cuba 37% - 65% up to 7,271,926
    Mexico 45% up to 56,000,000
    Peru 15% up to 4,200,000
    Uruguay 88% up to 3,900,100
    Venezuela 21% up to 5,573,956

The heritage of White Latin Americans comes from two primary European sources:

    Spaniards
    Portuguese
Other Europeans that have contributed significantly include:

    Italians
    Germans
    French
    Poles
    Other Slavic peoples
    Other Germanic peoples

We could resolve this issue: Bring back our troops from war. Send the illegals (regardless of race, creed, color or national origin ) in their place. Trained, of course. (The ratio of "good guys" verses terrorist will be different.) Maybe they can convince the terrorist to stop. Meanwhile, our troops will be home and can guard our borders. If everybody is successful, when these "deployed illegals" want to return to these United States, they can learn the local language, apply for citizenship and conform to laws of their new home country. Chances are, they will become respected for protecting our country and become welcomed. Then they too will see why we want to keep sacred all of the values we respect.

Illegal don't necessarily despise the laws of the country they are trying to become a member of. Neither do I think that their desperate fleeing from the Mexican meat grinder into what they consider a safe haven demonstrates that they do. It merely shows that they are attempting to flee from pain a characteristic which is common among all organisms, even unicellular ones like the ameba as experiments have shown.

Also, their insistence on continuin to cross the border is partly due to how they perceive the American government's attitude which sends double messages that indicate that it doesn't really mean what it is saying. Actually, I don't believe it either.

    BTW
So instead of sending them back into the Mexican meat grinder you would send them into the Iraqi meat grinder. The point is that they must grind. Does that include the elderly, the young and the women as well. That would be a hell of an army. You would probably have them all wearing large sombreros and ponchos too. Have them pelt the Iraquis with tacos. LOL

Well trained "illegals" convince terrorists to stop and spread love to everyone. Return to America, realize how easy it was to solve the world's problems then shoot and kill the white man.

Sort of on and sort of off topic, but I read in the Yahoo news where a town in Texas ( near Dallas) voted to make it illegal to rent a home to an illegal person ( exemptions made for elderly and families with legal and illegal in it.

I have mixed fellings, on this, and also exactly how do you do this, and not break many of the Federal houseing laws

Do we want to wonder down this path with our discussion

Have we lost track, again? We're not talking strickly about a Mexican/Hispanic issue. Generally, anyone who wants to smuggle over, can. That's what scares me. Want to talk about that aspect?

I was joking. But you seem to be dead serious about the evil white man issue.

Hispanics are not a race - I know it's hard to believe, but...

What's going to keep a terrorist from tryng to get in via the Canadian USA border?
Actually, the ones who attacked the towers had no border as an obstacle since they
Were permiitted into this country legally. To add insult to injury, they even trained here as pilots. How's that for irony?

Yes, that's very ironic. But when I speak of borders, I mean collectively all the imaginary lines that surround our nation. Remember the German sub off NY? They weren't welcome but they got in too close. I have seen personally how lax the entry into Canada is. When I lived in NH I went on a hunting trip to Canada. I declared there was a firearm in my vehicle but when they "searched" me and my vehicle, they naver opened the case and looked at it. No one ever asked for proof of ownership. I was like, "OK." We happened to come back into NH two weeks later, same guy on the job, hardly even looked up: I should have worn those funny nose/glasses with the mustache thing. Hahaha

    Weird isn't it?

I once reported a suspicious looking bag sitting in the corner of the men's room.
The security guards I reported it to simply said "OK" and kept on conversing. I expressed my concern that it might be an explosive. Their response was "We'll take care of it!" and just continued conversing without a care in the world. This happened in the USA in the lobby of a government building just after the Twin Tower incident which makes their attitude both incomprehensible and totally inexcusable. Me? I walked out of that place as fast as I could just in case.

I wish more people would see it like you see it, no one would come to the US illegaly if they knew they couldn't find a job, but there's always going to be an american that's going to hire him just to get rich off the immigrant knowing HE'S not the one getting in trouble. Wheres all the rage for that american breaking his own countrys law? Naw just take it out on the worker just trying to feed his family and give the person doing the hiring a slap in the wrist just so he can do it again.
