    Toyoto 1986 pick up
Hi, my 1986 toyota, is giving me problems, I'm driving down the road and the engine dies, after which I left the car running for 45 minutes and not a problem, it seem that the only time it dies is when I'm driving down the road at about25 -35 mph although I have not tried to take in on the highway. Brought it down to the local mechanic and he told me everything checked out o.k, so I'm not sure what is the problem. The engine starts without any problems at all, any thoughts?

You have a dirty fuel filter. It's located on the pass side, just forward of the rear wheel clipped to the top of the frame. Look for a clear (when new) plastic filter with 2 fuel hoses attached.
Check the drivers side if I'm on the wrong side of the truck. It's been ages since I worked on one of those. AHHHHH the old days!!
What's happening is you're going into fuel starvation when the most fuel is demanded.
