My brother is using and is ruining everybody's lives
My brother is using ( I am not sure what). He is very abusive and doesn't care about anything. He can't control his anger/emotions, he doesn't care about anybody. Threatens everyone. Please let me know how we can control this. How can we help him? I know that there is limited things we can do without his cooperation but please let me know any ideas. Thank you in advance.

You did not say the ages, if he is over 18, put them out and let them go
Just don't have contact with hem. If you are all minors, get children services, social serice and get them in a program to clean up.

If you are serious about getting them help and they are unwilling to get help themselves, there may be a legal way to get him help. It is a last resort only... and it does not force him to go to treatment, but it court orders him and he may stay a few days inpatient. If FL it is called the Marchman Act... similar to a Baker Act but for substance. You need to look it up in your county court system,, it may be called something different in your area. Also, having an intervention with your family and friends, letting him know how you all are feeling, what you see, and what you would like from him, and consequences you to his lack of actions to get help, such as lack of contact, no more helping him, etc.
But other than that, you need to let him hit bottom, and losing people in his life may be helpful to his reality. But that is your call... do what you feel is necessary.

Thank you for your response. Yesterday he was actually taken by the police to the hospital because he was threatening to commit suicide. Does anyone know what are the procedures in this case? How long will he stay there? What's next for us to do?

In my state it is 72 hours.
He will come before a board and they ask him if he is going to hurt himself. At this point he is no longer high and he will say no. Then he can go home.
I am sorry I do not have more hope to offer you, but he needs to want help.
