    Married, but was not divorced
    My husband and I were married, but I found out that his divorced was not final until 6 days after we were married. Is our marriage legal?

    No, if he was was still legally married ( and he was till it was final) you are not legally married.

    While no one may ever know, if something happened, and you went to collect his social security death benefit, or disability or retiement benefit and someone proves you are not leglly married, you have to.

    ** you need to get married over again.
