    Cant Wire
    I Bought A Hampton Ceiling Fan With A Remote, But The Way My New House Is Wired Differs From The Set Up On The Remote Transmitter. The House Has 4 Wires Coming Out 1 Copper, 1white,1black,and 1 Red, But The Remote Transmitter Inlet Only Has 3 Wires 1 White, 1black, And 1 Green . What Wires Connect To What Where Does The Red Wire Go To? Please Help

    You need to go back to the switch that controls the fixture. The red and black wires are meant to control the light and fan from the switch, either by 2 switches or one multiple position switch. With the remote, you do not need the red, leave it disconnected at both ends. Connect the white wires, the black ones, and the finally the green to the bare copper.
