    What is Triginometry
Please forgive my ignorance, but what is the study of triginometry, how would one define that study? Thank you for your help.

Greek: Trigona = "three angles" Metron = "measure".

Trigonometry is the study of triangles.

This doesn't sound very useful except in a handful of cases, but triangles and the rules we derive from them can translate into a ridiculous amount of branches of physics, mathematics, and other sciences that are core to our society.
