Puppy hiccups
Hi I was wondering can puppies/dogs get a case of hiccups. My 13 week Chihuahua was sleeping on my chest one moring and he kept making the classic jump/hiccup sounds for about a minute. I was worried so I woke him up, he awoke repositioned himself and then went back to sleep and it never happened again and hasn't all day cause I have been monitoring him.

Yes, dogs hiccup. They sneeze, snore, pass gas, yawn, burp, etc. They think too, but not the same as people. If you lack experience with dogs, pick up a good book. There may be better, but the Monks of New Skete's The Art of Raising a Puppy will be a big help. Yes, they are into big Shepherds, but nobody told your boy he isn't a wolf.
