You hire an attorney, and file a motion with the same court that issued the child custody agreement that you wish to give up all of your rights to custody for that child.

Of course you do understand that this does not stop the child support or any court ordered insurance. The support and insurance is part of your obligation, and has nothing to do with your rights. Even the state assumes responsibility if the custodial parent ever receives any government assistance.

So I can't see any reason to spend the time and money of going to court, to merely give up a right, you can't have to visit, you don't have to call them, they can't make you visit, and they can't make you decide what to do in the child's life. So why spend the money to give up rights, when you just don't do it, and it is the same differnece.

I will assume your real question is how do I stop paying child support, which is normally what people coming here want to know, and basically the answer is you can't, if there was a way to do that, would there be 1000's of people in jail for failure to pay support.

If the ex ( custodial parent) at some point gets remarried or has some life partner, and this new partner wants to adopt, then your child support can end. That is about the only way.
