I know that there are others on this site who know much more about computers than I do. But, I would like to give you some suggestions based upon my experience.
I'm not sure that "New Folder.exe" is a virus, and I'm wondering why you think that it is?
If your computer is acting strangely, and you don't have an anti-virus program installed, I would do so now. I like AVG Free Edition. It is available here:
AVG Free Advisor: Free anti-virus, anti-spyware and anti-malware tools I have never had any problems with viruses since using it. That would be since about November of 2005. It is used and recommended by a lot of computer techs. One of my friends is a computer tech for a social service organization, and he installed it for me. You can set it to update automatically, or whenever it says that it needs to be updated, you can do it yourself. You will have a license to use it. And, you will need to reinstall the latest version of it in somewhere over a years time.
One time when I had a virus, my computer was acting strangely. It was a number of years ago, and I don't really remember what all the symptoms were, other than that the available disk space was getting to be less and less in too short of time. So, I decided to go searching for the virus in my computer.
So, I did a search on my computer for anything that had been modified or created around the date that the problems started to happen. I found some folders that I could not associate as belonging to any programs on my computer. The contents of these folders was getting bigger and bigger every day. These folders represented the virus. They were literally filling up my computer with unnecessary information.
So, I Erased the folders. The problems that I was having disappeared. I did it with a free product that is available here:
Eraser - Free secure data erase tool to wipe files on your hard drive
I am hopeful that the information above is helpful to you. It could be the road to a simple solution to the problems that you are having with your computer.
