    Censorship the California way .
1st amendment ? we don't need no stinkin 1st amendment says California . We can censor any conservative lawyer we choose to do to. All we need to do is force them to take an annual oath to conduct themselves AT ALL TIMES "with dignity, courtesy and integrity."

Beginning on April 1, 2026, an active licensee or special admissions attorney who fails to submit the annual declaration as required by this rule must be enrolled as an inactive licensee of the State Bar under rules adopted by the Board of Trustees of the State Bar.

    d) Authorization for the Board of Trustees of the State Bar to adopt rules and procedures
The Board of Trustees of the State Bar is authorized to adopt such rules and procedures as it deems necessary and appropriate to ensure compliance with this rule.
    (e) Fees and penalties
The State Bar has the authority to set and collect appropriate fees and penalties for violations of this rule.
Rule 9.7. Oath required when admitted to practice law | Judicial Branch of California

There are some 200,000 lawyers(aka "officers of the court" ) in the state . Presumably some of them are conservative.

Some of them may not speak in liberal correct speech. Who's view of courtesy and integrity will be enforced ? Why should such rules apply to a lawyer outside their work? Does it mean not using the right surname could land them out of a job ? Does wearing a MAGA hat constitute a violation of dignity or courtesy ? Will all their social media activity be scrutinized to find them in violation ?

This smells of a state adoption of the censorship industrial complex that was adopted by the emperor/Clueless Joe regimes ;and is being practiced in the other "free nations " of the West . Lawyers right to speech and even a job is threatened by this clearly unconstitutional rule.
