    Trump's EOs
I have stated before that I am not a great fan of Presidential Executive Orders (EOs) . Some of course are necessary . Trump is signing them at such a furious pace that the inevitable backlash has come after 1 week in office.

The narrative had been about the chaos in the Dem ranks with internal feuds in the headlines. Michigan Senator Gary Peters announced he would not seek reelection which opens up a seat in a state Trump won . That should've been headlines but Trump is sucking the oxygen from the room.

Hakeem Jeffries and Schmuck Shumer have managed to change the narrative framing Trump's orders as unconstitutional power grabs. Lawsuits are being filed fast and furious shopped strategically to Federal Judges who are quick to slap injunctions on the orders .....birthright citizenship and spending freeze plans .

This will have a backlash and affect Trump's desire to rapidly get his nominees confirmed .

Case in point. The Senate advanced Sean Duffy (Transportation Sec nominee ) by unanimous consent to a vote. But when the vote was taken almost 2 dozen Dems voted nay.His nomination was a no brainer .

This does not bode well for nominees like Gabbard ,RFK Jr (who I am on the fence about) ;Kash Patel ,and Lori Chavez-DeRemer( who I hope gets defeated anyway)

Senate Dems are successfully filibustering his desire to have Congress sanction the International Criminal Court(ICC) .

I'm not saying any of the actions he is taking is wrong. But is the pace he is setting the best political strategy ? The "Resistance" has begun.
