These climate zealots do this stuff all the time ;usually it is during some deep freeze or other weather event that undermines their message. Why they hold these events in the winter is beyond me . This year they tried to be clever . They went as far south as they could . Winter weather followed them mocking them . They are left to resort to the argument that global warming causes colder weather .

I recommend that if they wanted to make their case that they should hold their conference in the south in July in a building where the A/C unit is malfunctioning.
