I am 5 and a half months pregnant and I wrote earlier about how my boyfriend and I constantly fight and we haven't seen each other much lately like 1 time in the past month and now he is telling me that we need sometime apart from being boyfriend and girlfriend. I don't think that will help. I don't want to do that and I don't want to break up. What should I do, if anything?

Unfortunately if he wants to walk away for a while there may not be much you can do. It could be helpful, but since you aren't married I don't see things turning out well. I could be very wrong, and I hope for your sake that I am. How has the fighting been going? Are you still at each other's throats? I think good communication is the hardest thing to achieve in most relationships, and it is usually the key to success. Hopefully you will find a way together to work on your relationship. All I can say is if he does decide to take some time away don't smother him. Give him his space. Don't push him to come back, it only drives them farther away. If you really care about this guy show him that you love him. Actions speak much more loudly than words. Especially if the only words are fighting words. Good luck and keep your head up. You need to stay calm and relaxed for the health of you and your baby. Just remember that everything happens for a reason, and though we may not know what the reason is, or understand it, we sometimes just have to accept it.
