    TDS is a mirror
The fanatical opposition to Trump was rooted in the fear that he was an authoritarian would be dictator who was a racketeer leading a personality cult .

An honest look in the mirror would reveal that those Trump opponents turned into the very things they opposed Trump for being and adopted all the practices that they once warned that Trump would bring to the United States.

Spurred on by TDS and covid they embraced authoritarian rule ; censorship, imposition on bodily autonomy (no more 'my body my choice'), attacks on the 1st amendment's freedom of speech, press and association.

They have embraced statist power especially the unholy alliance of the press and big media being a filter for the accepted government position

All these the left used to vehemently oppose

As is often the case, they opposed those things until they perceived some possible political advantage to be gained in them.

The Democrats claim to hate Trump, and many of them hope to see him thrown in jail. But the reality is they desperately need him. Biden continually resurrects the Trump bogeyman as a foil to define himself against. You could say that this is a ploy of political expediency....... But there is more to the Democrats’ anti-Trumpism than partisan politics. It provides a moral basis to their rule (‘We’re saving democracy, we’re fighting fascists’). It also offers a rationale for exerting greater state control over political life and society. Biden and the Democrats use the spectre of Trump to assert their own brand of authoritarianism – a version less obvious and more sophisticated than Trump’s, but authoritarianism all the same.

That was not the main reason although your comments describing Trump are certainly true.

The main reason was, and is, that Trump is a conman with no principles except self-aggrandizement, worships wealth, is a complete moron when it comes to governance, doesn't know his arse from his elbow, and is an intellectual midget.

He has also been confirmed as an enemy of this country by stealing classified documents and is currently in the process of being indicted for crimes committed while president including attempting to overthrow the government of the United States.

An honest look in the mirror would reveal that .............................................etc., etc., etc. d that Trump would bring to the United States. ..............purred on by TDS and covid they embraced authoritarian rule ; censorship, imposition on bodily autonomy (no more 'my body my choice'), attacks on the 1st amendment'................hey have embraced statist power especially the unholy alliance of the press and big media being a filter for the accepted government position ...

These abbreviated comments are a fine example of your projecting qualities of your own position onto others.

I think you meant to refer to Biden.
