    RF Modulator and DTVA
I am trying to tune a RF modulator to my TV. The set up will not retain the selected channel on the modulator, that is if I can get the TV to recognise the modulator channel at all. Sometimes after turning off the power I can get the modulator test signal when the power is restored, but again it is not retained for any length of time. Any suggestions.

If I'm not mistaken, RF modulators do only one thing. If its not working, I would suspect the modulator. Have you tried opening the modulator? What is your source to the RF modulator?

Thanks for your help. No, I have not opened the modulator, the source to the modulator is a Philips set top box DTR210. I am not an electronics whizz, will I be able to do anything inside the modulator?

Actually I was just thinking of what I would do, open it up, shake it, look for anything that may have loosened, and if necessary take a soldering iron to it. :)

I can't offer any help in fixing the actual modulator, but perhaps you can consider alternatives, like buy a new one ? :D How old is this TV set? Perhaps I may ask, why are you using an RF modulator to begin with?

Verify programming sequence is correct. Some can be programmed to Cable Channels or
    UHF Channels. Netmedia? Channel Plus?
Make sure you prgram to unused channel, and/or install Trap to remove unwanted noise@input to modulator.
Are You Mixing it all together, Video source(Camera,DVD?)with Cable(or Satellite)?
