    Stuck in my dreams
Well here I go I have decided to come to you the people for help because everyone I know just can't figure it out.

I was once in a relationship that lasted for five years although not the happiest relationship I wish we were still involved unfortunately about five years ago I was betrayed and she ran of with a friend of mine.
Now I have done everything in my power to forgot her even taking it to extreme levels and moving across the country. I have come to the realization that its in the past and willing to let her go, but my dreams say different at least three days a week she is in them sometimes they are great dreams and others a painful as hell. I am at the point of true unhappiness everyday (waking after a dream about her no matter if it was good or bad makes the day seem so much harder.

So my question to you all is what if anything can I do to end this face from haunting my dreams? I am on the brink of a real breakdown I feel it inside and if I can't find the answers I need to get rid of her face I do not know what I will do.

PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN ANY SUGGESTIONS ARE WELCOME I no longer want to be in this hell.:(

If you still have any items in your home that might remind you of her, I would suggest getting rid of them - furniture, photographs, mementoes, letters, etc.

Wow! Moving across the country? Please know that this person does not have any power over you in the real world outside of dreams. Or, am I wrong?

Sounds like you may have an obsession with this person. Maybe you get obsessed about other things in your life, also?

Could be that you could use some one-on-one counselling. Counselling does work to shape a persons thinking if they stick with it long enough. You may need to shop around for the counselor that is best for you, though. Not all counsellor-client relationships on the professional level are a good fit.

I know what it like to be betrayed in a relationship. Hurt for a very long time.

Found other things to replace the hurt with good feelings. New friends. Other things to occupy my time. New things to do.

It's time to "turn the scars into stars!"

Others will notice your post. I am sure that they will have fine suggestions for you to. At least mine was a start.

Another thing, I am involved in a number of groups in my locale concerning the things that interest me, gardening/horticulture, music, archealogy, public library support, etc. The things that we share with each other are incredible! Real "uplifters" for I and the people with whom I am involved in the groups. Being involved with them helps to take my mind off the things that really bother me. I tend to get obsessed about things involving relationships too.

It is easy to get involved in groups. Just have to look for them. It is a choice.
