    Electrical
    Hi everyone!

I have a concern with some electrical issues.
I was wondering, is it okay to have 2 bedrooms on one 15 amp circuit breaker, and the master bedroom on another 15 amp circuit breaker?
I never saw 2 bedrooms on one circuit breaker?

If someone who knows electrical can get back to me if this is all right I would really appreciate it.

The reason why I am asking is because my APC surge protector/battery backup for my computer is shutting on and off especially when I am using my Laser Printer.
I also have TV, Computer, Laptop, Receiver, Stereo with subwoofer all in this room, I was wondering if that 15 amp breaker can actually take this load?

    Thanks for any help

A bedroom circuit is considered as a general lighting load, along with the entire home. The amount of circuits is based on the total square footage, at 3 watts per square foot. Is is very likely that two bedrooms are on one 15 amp circuit.

If this is a newer home, you should find the bedrooms on a Arc Fault circuit breaker, which are sensitive to arcing, and will shut off quickly if arcing is detected.

Check the load in amps of the printer. Laser printers tend to draw anywhere from 8 -12 amps alone. This load along with the other loads may be more than the 15 amp breaker can handle, and may need it's own circuit to eliminate overloading the existing circuit.
