Past is haunting
I have been on psych medication for around 3 years now, up until 2 days ago. I stopped it suddenly, which I know isn't a good thing to do, because I felt that I can't feel anything real whilst on it. Since I have been off it I have had extreme feelings. My past has always haunted me but now it feels like its alive. I can't bear it. My history is full of abuse, foster care, neglect, substance abuse, mental illness and self harm, so these feelings probably aren't safe but somehow after so long of feeling nothing, it feels great. Should I go back to medication or stick it out with the risk of going crazy. I want to feeel real feelings, not just a medium cover up. What should I do?

Your body and mind were used to the medication. Just stopping taking it abruptly can have bad effects. Normally on a medication if you were going to stop then you would do it gradually - taking a little less dose of it every time you were supposed to take it.
You should see your doctor. New drugs come out all of the time. Maybe there is a better alternative one for you now.
I am wondering why you all of a sudden just decided to stop taking it without first consulting with your doctor?

You should go to the emergency ward so they can do blood tests to determine how much medication is in your blood and how much to give you to adjust your dose appropriately. As Clough said, if you stop taking it abruptly can have bad effects... especially if you have been on it for some time.
If you are not happy with your medication this is something to discuss with the doctor. Perhaps you are ready to start gradually decreasing your dosage - UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF A DOCTOR!
Going off your meds suddenly is dangerous! Most psychiatric drugs need to be gradually reduced. Please see a doctor as soon as possible, preferably tonight. Otherwise you might well end up in hospital and have to start the whole process right from the beginning.
Hugs, Didi

You need to see your doctor, tell them about stoping the medication, just don't start back without talking to the doctor ASAP.

Going off meds can be as detrimental to your physical health as your mental health... see your doctor immediately. If your current meds have you feeling too out of touch, ask for a lower dosage or a different type of medication, but don't avoid the doctor.

Take your pills, before you end up in jail or worse.

We have been living here for 2 years. The energy is mostly in the back bedroom. It is not a negative energy, though sometimes a bit cranky, like the rest of us. I believe it to be a young female. I feel her mostly in the evening. It doesn't really bother me, I'm just curious who and why. My...
