I miscarried on 3/30/07 at 6 weeks and now for the past 2 weeks my breast have been sore,last week I had a cramp come over my stomach it didn't last long but the next 2 days my stomach was sore by the third day it was localized to right above the pubic bone but now it wasn't sore it was twinges every few minutes by the next day it had moved further south around vagina area now it has stopped all together ,I am still a week away from when the doc says I should get my period,could all this that's been happening to me be in preparation for that or could I be pregnant again so soon,I've taken several hpt test but all are negative is it to early to tell.any advice would be great thanks

I am sorry to hear about your loss. My wife had a miscarriage before and it took a while to heal. The doctors recommended to wait at least 2 periods after the miscarriage just to make sure everything is healed properly.
Did any of your doctors recommend to you that you should heal your body for at least one or two months after a miscarriage before possibly getting pregnant again? Every doctor has different advice and I guess it all depends on the circumstances and the person. It is possible that it is an upcoming period. If in doubt the best thing to do is to go to your doctor and get a complete physical. The possibility is always there that you could be pregnant by having unprotected sex, but like I said it is different for each women on how fast you can get pregnant again, it also depends on how long you carried the baby you miscarried.

I went to the doctor yesterday and he did an ultrasound to make sure everything was taken out and it was and there is no new pregnancy ,he said that everything I've been going through was due to the loss of the pregnancy.he also said he didn't know when my period would come could be next week or two or three weeks from now he just couldn't be sure.he did say I didn't have to wait 3 months to get pregnant again that a lot of women get pregnant a month after a miscarriage and go on to have healthy babies.I guess what has made this so hard for me is I was told 9 yrs ago I couldn't have children and then after all this time to come up pregnant just to turn around and lose it.but me and my husband are going to be extremely careful this time.did you and your wife get pregnant after she had time to heal?has she recovered?

My wife and I got pregnant about 6 months after the miscarriage. We have a healthy baby boy now. He is 6 months old.

After the miscarriage we gave it some time to heal. I think it took a good two months two get a normal period back. We had to do the same thing as well. Get an ultrasound to make sure all the material is out. We went the natural way, no d @ c.

I think it is best to wait a while and let healing take place in order for your body to be stronger for the next time you try. Whenever you feel your ready.
