Get a monthly bill in your name and pay it on time and in full each month ex: a cell phone. You could get a credit card too, but the dangers of going on a buying spree makes this not such a good idea.

Get a VISA card and use it. Pay on time every month. I bought a bedroom set when I was your age. Bought it on a time payment and then paid it off a month later. These two steps got me enough credit to get a mortgage later that year. You just need to creat a payment historu for yourself.

Get a bank credit card with a very low limit, like $250, which is tied to a savings account with the same amount. Charge only about $25 each month (like gas in your car) and pay it in full each month as soon as you get the bill.
