    Must have ID
    Are U.S. citizens required to have ID on them at all times?

    No , not at this time, there are some local laws on these issues but at this time there is no required US ID.

    Unless of course you are driving, buying alcohol or cigarettes, or crossing a national border... but that's just stating the obvious isn't it?. ;)
