1982 is mechanical. Bet there are several points worn out, in need of lube and/or binding from the pedal to the Z-bar to the release fork. My guess pay close attention to the Z bar between the frame rail and bellhousing.

I had a Ford E 250 with StickShift and Hydraulic Clutch, Would'nt fully disengage even with pedal Pushed further than Normal. Ended up the floor where the Clutch Master cylinder was mounted to was weak and flexing. I took a piece of aluminum and bolted between the clutch master cylinder and the weak part of the floor to spread out the pressure. Fixed the problem. I called it a Pressure Dispersion plate?

Scotsdale I believe is a full size "Squarebody", those didn't see Hydraulic Clutches until the 1985, Sounds like a mechanical linkage binding up. Not impossible for a hydraulic clutch to bind, just the normal fail mode is the exact opposite, limp pedal up to not being able to disengage at all.

My son had a mid 70's Cheyenne and I do believe it had a mechanical swing arm with a ball and socket. Kind of remembering to grease it occasionally. Thanks for the reminder!

I just replaced the fuel pump, and I cannot get the truck to run.
