How to set remote fan codes
The light and fan was on. I heard a pop, the light went out. The fan continued to work. The light now won't turn on with the remote or the chain switch. I changed the chain switch, but the light still won't turn on.

I seriously doubt that the switch had anything to do with the failure. Did you change the bulb?

In order to troubleshoot the fan's light you would need a schematic of the light portion of the circuity.

How old is the fan? It might be a better move to just replace the entire unit.
