    My grandson's slot racer starts at high speed even when pressing lightly on the throttle. It runs on AC current which it converts to DC. How can it be slowed down? Rheosat?

    Have you checked the controller with an ohm meter? Do you have more then 1 controller?

    Most usually are of a rheostat design.
