    No, you can't. You go wherever they send you, good or bad, and most are not good. Fosters get money for every foster they take in, and unless you get really lucky, really really lucky, you'll just go to a foster home that gives you just enough to live, but nothing more.

    I'm sorry that you have to deal with this. It sucks. Foster care, especially in the US, is horrible. Most likely you'll go to a horrible place and fight to survive. Sad, because you're supposed to be taken out of a bad home and placed in one that will help. But that's just not how the US foster system is.

    Sad fact, most times the bad family the child comes from, is better than the foster care family they're sent to.
