    Pregnancy
    Hi, my name is Aubrey. I had unprotected sex on January 17th, which wasn't that long ago. I'm anxious for the test. I'm hoping for a positive. Anyway, it's been 5 days and my breasts are already bigger and my areolas have bumps on them and I have noticed veins. Also, I have nausea and headaches. I have had acne and slight cramps/abdominal pain. I know it's only been 5 days but, since I'm having all these symptoms of pregnancy, could I take a test?

    Also I've been craving mac n cheese with barbecue sauce.. And food that smelled good before no longer smells good to me.

    It sounds like you are highly stressing over this, which can cause you to either see symptoms that are not there, or be hyper aware of every normal feeling in your body.

    I know it is hard. But you will just have to wait. I suggest that if you do not get your next period, then take a test or see your doctor.

    If you happened to become pregnant from sex on the 17th, implantation would still be in process or yet to occur. Even a blood test would not pick up a pregnancy this early. Was there any sex prior to the 17th.. . even with protection?

    As was said, wait and see what happens with your next period.

    It's way too early. Pregnancy isn't instant. It takes time for the sperm to travel, meet the egg, penetrate the egg, and then implant. It's not until implantation that pregnancy hormones start producing. At 5 days you wouldn't be pregnant yet, it would still be in the process of happening, if it happens.

    Wait until your next period. If you miss it, wait a few days then test using first morning urine. If that test is negative, wait another week and test again. If that test is also negative, wait for your next period. If you miss it too, then take another test or get a blood test.

    You would have no signs at this point, it takes 3 or 4 days for the sperm just to reach the egg, So any changes are either in your head, or happening because you want it so bad.

    You will have to wait, and wait and wait to test, you need to wait till you miss your next cycle and then wait about 10 days to 2 week after to test.

    You can go for a blood test sooner, about the time you miss your cycle.

    If pregnant, the blastocyst, not an embryo at this point, would be about the size of a grain of sand. The symptoms you indicate are too early for pregnancy, particularly "breasts are already bigger".

    The Pregnancy Hormone hCG can be first detected with a blood test at around 11 days after conception and with a urine test at around 12-14 days after conception.

    So unless you got pregnant before the 17th it is too soon to tell, so you need to wait another week unless it was before the 17th so I'll leave you with that.

    Anyway I suggest not to waste time and resources, do the test in around a week or more.
