    Real estate title issue
My son purchased a mobile home in New York 8 yrs. Ago. Now he is trying to sell it & it has been discovered that the real estate atty.never had the title transferred to him & the bank gave him a loan without asking for the title. The buyer's lender won't give him a loan without the title. The real estate atty. Has been working on this for over 6 months & still no title. They claim it was sent to dmv in July 2015,but dmv never got it. They can't find the previous owner. My son called 2 other atty's & both said they can't help. What should he do now? Please help.

Just reread your post. You said
They claim it was sent to dmv in July 2015,
Yet you say your son has owned the home for 8 years. Please explain.

If they sent it, they will have copies of all the application paper work, and the filing of it.

So they merely give it to you, you go to DMV and file for the title.
