    Heating ?s
I have an old boiler system that has a janitrol conversion burner jh-45. My tech tells me it's pre ww2 age.
Any ways, I went to light pilot yesterday and it won't stay on. I hold igniter button for a minute, light pilot, and there is a flame. When I press baso l622a-5 manual reset and release igniter button the pilot goes out.
I know there's gas going to system as pilot lights and I just cleaned and soaked igniter button in penetrating oil, that component is working properly.
But it won't stay lit. Any ideas?
I haven't checked baso button yet.
My thermocoupler is way inside unit so I can't see it. I can find lead running from baso to it, but can't see it by itself.
This unit worked well last year until we had gas company shut off gas due leak elsewhere in the home. Now I can't get pilot to stay lit!

Ok guys.. After three hours... I have the burner assembly off unit.. I've taken a copper line and bent it in the shape of my old fill tube.. I just took a drill and drilled perforated holes along line... I've assembled gas lines back into igniter button to test new fill tube, only to find a leak... I've got to trouble shoot new pilot tube... I've decided to replace thermacoupler tomorrow and it's line... Any points or hints to trouble shoot the leak? Back to drawing board.. Not to bad for a lady though!

Carrier heating unit --fan won't work with heating [ 6 Answers ]

I have a carrier heating unit installed in 2000... it worked fine since then but now... fan will work if we turn it ON by itself... but if we turn on auto heat then heater goes on (blower like sound) but fan doesn't force the air into the house... if we turn off the heat... fan comes on...
