    Can't stop the clicking sound on thermostat after battery change
    How do you stop the thermostat from clicking? I changed the batteries and used 2 new energizer AA does it matter what type of batteries also hit the reset a few times but the clicking and false start of the furnace continues.

    Do I need to call a repair man?

    Brand and model of the stat may help us. How did you know it needed batteries?
