    Cannot remove bathtub spout
I have a 60 year old bathtub with original plumbing. The diverter only sends a small amount of water to the shower head. I replaced the faucet washers, but cannot remove the tub spout . It does not have a set screw. Vice grips with a 3 pound sledge hammer did not budge it. How do I take this old faucet off?

Get the biggest pipe wrench you can to break that 60 year old grip. Also, big pipe wrench will give you good leverage and will make the spout removal easy. Once you break the grip with large wrench, you can use smaller tool to finish the removal

    Hope that helps
