Are these chemicals organic / carbon-based?
I'm working on a project and I need to know if the following chemicals are organic and/or carbon based: methanol, acetone, esters and tannins. I've done some research and I believe the first three are, but I can't figure out the situation with tannins. I'm leaning towards no, but can anybody explain?

    Thank you in advance!
