[Uncle Timmy]

I saw an old movie late one night last year. It was set in an era where the folks traveled by horse on sleighs in the snowy streets. It was Christmas time but the folks had the appearance of Jewish folks even though they celebrated Christmas.
The entire family lived in a huge home and had maids that were white girls and women. The parents were very involved in a theater playhouse that they owned ( they were obviously wealthy) and working on the Christmas production. The father ended up dying there from an apparent heart attack.
It seemed the grandpa had a horny streak, and was a flirty old because. Grandma thought it was funny and cute as he chased the young chamber maids around.. he had a relationship with one and in one scene there was some nudity which brings me to wonder if it was an American Production. The girl ends up pregnant and the family celebrates and supports her. Grandpa had promised her a 'shop of her own" someday, upon his death I presume.
This is a very long movie with so many twists and details that it is impossible for me to remember from that 3 a.m. viewing. I remember a very large family coming by horse drawn sleigh for Christmas dinner.. there was drunkenness a matriarchal grandma.. and I can't remember much else.
