Just guessing since you did not give us any real information.

If the black, red and white are the wires in the wall, then black goes to the input of the sensor. Red returns to the supply and white goes to white.

If you some definite answers please tell us what wires are in the source cable and what wires on the sensor. A picture would really help us.

Just guessing but doubt that it is a 12 volt ac motion sensor.

    Hello Donf,
I am trying to control Malibu LED low Voltage Light Fixture Model 8406-2650-01. This is a 12V AC lighting system. The transformer controller has a photo eye to turn on the lights at night, the option are dust to dawn and dust to 4 hours, dust to 6 hours and dust to 8 hours.
My client would like to use the dust to dawn and only turn on when someone is present. I bought this motion sensor but it came without any documentation and there is no name or model # on this unit.
Here is a link to this unit. It is a black one that has a 1/2" fitting to go on a electric box.

So you are doing this as a job for a client yet you don't know how to wire it? Maybe bringing in a qualified professional would be your safest bet?

Anyway, your wiring diagram is right in the Amazon link you posted. The photocell will control the line voltage side and the motion detector will control the low voltage side.

The link you provide shows the wiring specs. It also states that it is for DC, not AC.
Are you sure you have the correct device?

Okay, I just looked at the data on the link you provided. If you look at the pictures (3rd. Down on left), you will see a small rectangular brass device connecting to the lights. That's the 120VAC to 12 DC converter.

Also, on the main page next to the four stars you will see "14 customer reviews" and "10 answered questions". Those answered questions will answer this question for you.
