Waters collects under vegatable bins, also noticed water on top shelf. Small amount. Please help do I need a new one.

There is moisture in the air. When the air is cooled that moisture turns into water.
As the refrigerator is running moisture can form ice around the cooling coils. The refrigerator goes into a defrost mode once or twice a day. When in the defrost mode the ice turns into water. That water has to have some where to go. There is usually some kind of collection point The collection place or point is usually along the back wall of the refrigerator. Exactly where depends on the design of the refrigerator interior. There is a plastic tube at the collection point that takes the water to the evaporation pan under the bottom of the refrigerator.

It is not unusual for the plastic tube to get stopped up. Find the collection point and clean out the tube.

I think I like this video better. I don't like trying to chip ice out. Might damage something. I prefer using a hair dryer to melt ice.

All you need to do is clean it. If possible, take it outside and use a water hose and soap to wash it out and clean the drain pan under the unit, too. If this is too much trouble remove the food into an ice chest and clean it out. Check the drains and blow them out with a water hose nozzle, plus clean out the condensate pan under the unit and clean the coils with spray soap and a quick spray of water to get them clean. Do not forget to clean and oil the fan(s), too. When you finish you will have a like new refrigerator. You will have to remove the back cover and front kick plate. Make sure to put them back before starting up the unit, or it will not work. You also need to remove the cover to the freezer coils to clean the drain there and to unstop it which will cause water to drip inside and collect.
