I am a goan (india) resident & I seek to do registration of my son's birth in Portugal. He was born & baptised in kuwait in the year 1980 (also registered in Socorro parish, Goa - India, 1996). I would like to know how to attest his baptism certificate?

What do you mean "attest" I have to be honest, I have no idea what you want to do.
If you do not have the actual baptism certificate, normally you can contact the church where they were baptized and they send you a copy. Churches keep records of baptisms In other cases, if you can not get one, Also since he is an adult, why are you doing this ? Why is he not doing this? But you would merely write a state of his baptism, and sign it, if anyone else knows of it, they sign it. In most cases the church accepts it. But to be honest, normally they do not actually need to see any certificate, you tell them when and where, they accept it, and just go on.

So what are you trying to do, for your adult son?

I'm guessing that OP wants to facilitate the son's obtaining Portuguese citizenship somehow. If the son was born in Kuwait, my guess is that OP is thinking that the Goa connection might help. Goa Was a Portuguese territory until 1961, so perhaps OP was born before that year and thus has Portuguese citizenship (or some sort of claim to such). We would have to know a lot more. OP should contact a Portuguese embassy or consulate for further information.
