    Noisy waterpipes
I live in a row of cottages 1 from the end, my problem is the noise in our house when our neighbours 2 from the end have a shower which is around 5:50 am there is the sound of " whooshing" water and a humming noise particularly on the stairwell adjacent to their bathroom.
The house has had a bathroom / kitchen refit after being empty for some time I never noticed this level of noise with the previous owner.
The letting agency who are managing the property brought in one of their plumbers who thought that it was a problem with a pedestal basin and fitted some kind of valve but told me more than once that it may not reduce the noise, and they were right but I am thinking of getting a plumber who doesn`t work for the letting agency has anybody out there have any suggestion please.

Not sure what kind of noise it is. Does it seem to be coming from the drain or you can hear water rushing through the water pipes ? Is it banging sound or clicking sound ? Is that unit #2 above you or on the same floor ? Can you be more descriptive ?

    Back to you
