I used some of the Great Stuff expansion foam to seal a gap under a baseboard heater. On the bottle, it stated to not use around anything with a temperature of 240 degrees. I figured a hydronic system wouldn't get that warm, maybe 180 at the most. The foam expanded more than expected and when I researched online, only there it says to not use around radiators or heaters. Do you think there is harm for fumes or fire? If so, how should this best be removed? Thank you.

Having used several polyurethane foam products for rodent exclusion, I can tell you the easiest way to remove excess foam is to let it cure, which normally takes a couple of days, and trim it with a razor knife. Complete removal will likely require scraping it off like paint. As far as fumes or outgassing, I cannot guess, so removal would likely be your safest option. To replace it, there are several caulk type products that are more heat resistant.
