Possibility of pregnancy
My period was May 5-12. The 14,15,16,18 and 19 we had unprotected sex using the pull out method. I'm about 2 1/2 weeks without IUD with no birth control. Even though he pulled out he put his fingers in me unknowingly with semen on his fingers. What are my chances of getting pregnant?

Pull out ISN'T a method of birthcontrol. You're lessening the amount of sperm getting into your system, but you're not eliminating it nor are you eliminating the egg being released by you or the nice fertile uterine lining that the egg wants to implant into. Sperm can hang around for a good long time, which will give it ample opportunity to get in there and fertilize the egg. Simply, you've had penetrative sex with NO prevention of pregnancy methods in play. You're going to have to wait until your period is supposed to come in June, if it doesn't come within two weeks of when it should have, then you should take a home pregnancy test. During this period you might want to look at different forms of birthcontrol if you don't want to get pregnant. |

Even when actively trying to become pregnant, it is roughly 20-25% of the time that pregnancy will be achieved in any given cycle. Some women become pregnant without really trying, while others will track ovulation for many months before they become pregnant.
It wouldn't hurt to use an emergency contraceptive today if at all possible, such as plan b, for at least some protection. Otherwise, all you can do is wait and see what happens with your next period. |
