Tecumseh Recoil / Pull Start.
I have a Mountfield Lawnmower with a Tecumseh Recoil / Pull Start. The spring broke just where it connects into the mechanism. I disassembled the unit and after 'softening' the spring I was able to create a new tang. However when I now try to re-assemble I cannot. I would appreciate some guidance.

My cord to the recoil starter on my snowblower broke at the base. I have unbolted the starter from the engine and brought it inside. It is looking like I have to take apart the unit just to push the cord into its slot as there is very little finger room to work with. The starter is on an 11...

I have small gas edger that the cord will not retract back inside. I would like to try and fix it myself, but I have no experience with this sort of thing. So I need some simple steps to possibly get it repaired, hoping maybe I need to just rewind it.. I one that like to see how things are made...
I just tried to start my machine and I puled the cord out and it didn't recoil back in.. I wored on it to try to get it fixed but it just won't recoil.. Any ideas or suggestion would be great! Thank you
