I've got my ultrasound result at my 23weeks pregnancy and my baby is in transverse position and I have a low lying placenta grade 1. the mw seems not worried about the result but I am worried about it. She advise me put pillow on my back when I'm going to sleep but its unconfortable. I am worried because I'm in my 27weeks and I'm experiencing my baby kicks the same position. I don't know when my baby turn into right position.. what willl I do to help him turn?

Often a low lying placenta will have shifted by the time you have another ultrasound. This is even more likely with a situation such as yours. Did your midwife mention when you might have another scan? Often it would be within the next few weeks. Ask your midwife about seeing a chiropractor who is trained in the Webster technique. There is no manipulation of your abdomen or baby, and the success rate of baby turning is fairly high.

You can do a similar position as the pillow under your back when awake. You would lie on the floor with your feet up on a chair and the pillow under you bottom to raise your hips up so that you are in a slant position. You can do this for about 15 minutes or so, a few times a day. Often while watching television works well, or you can do so in a quite setting and just focus on relaxing. The idea is that it may help move baby higher and then they may turn head down once you are back upright.

Has the midwife said that baby is still transverse, or was that from back at 23 weeks? If it was from before, baby may have turned already. Most babies will have turned head down by about 34 weeks; even more will turn by 36. It is easier said than done, but try not to worry. Much can change over the next several weeks, and hopefully it will.
