Yes. This is not normal. See a gyno.
Even if it's not a life-threatening thing, it's got to be a huge annoyance, so maybe you could get on the pill or something to make you more regular. Regular is good. Irregular means you're at risk for all kinds of complications.

Hun, exactly how long have you been on it? How old are you? How old were you when you had your first period?

I actually have seen this in younger women, and 9 times out of 10 just dysfuntional uterine bleeding, which sounds worse than it really is. This type of constant bleeding is a defect in the endocrine control of the uterine lining (endometrium). Often this is associated with anovulation and lack of a regularly functioning ovary. There could be several other issues that would result in this constant bleeding, however. Some are more serious than others.
Please go see a doctor just to make sure you're OK. My bet is that you're fine, but you're gut reaction to be concerned is warranted. :)

Aw... yeah that's totally understandable. Honestly, I had a panic attack at my first gyno exam... but not until it was over and it was almost time to go. Weird, huh? I was like, "ok get me OUT of here!!!" It is def a weird experience, but something every woman should do for the sake of her health.
Do you have someone you can ask to go with you for support? Maybe your mom, or best friend, or big sister?
Would you prefer to see a female doctor?
Hopefully, if you see someone, they're really cool and nice and understanding...
It is entirely your own decision to go and see a doctor, but if you think about the risks that may be involved if you really do have something wrong and you do not go, it might be worth it. Especially if you want to have children later on down the road, it is extremely important to make sure everything is OK.
