    Water shutoff valve stuck
    The main water shut off in my home I was able to turn off but know it is stuck and won't turn back on. It's a sioux chief red lever and it won't move in either direction now. What can I do?

    Look carefully where the valve stem goes into the valve body, you will see a stop which hits part of the valve body. That stop serves to prevent anyone rotating a valve 360 degrees. Move your valve handle in the direction that makes the stop no longer touch the valve body, use leverage if needed. Right now your handle is perpendicular tpo the line.
