    Toyota door light timer.
I own a Toyota 86. The small red light on the door comes on when the door is opened. If the door is left open after about 20 minutes it turns off. Can this time interval be reduced to about one minute?

It's controlled by a capacitor--when it discharges, the light goes out. You could try locating and replacing the capacitor.

    Thank you for your answer.
The car's manual states that the interior light may be programmed (by the dealer) to turn of after a predetermined (and variable) time. The manual reads as though this may be possible with the courtesy lights fitted to the doors. I was wondering if anyone knew how to do this.
